INFINITI concludes 3rd Regional Sales Skills Competition in Middle East

INFINITI recently concluded its third regional skills competition focused on frontline sales as part of the INFINITI Middle East Training Academy.

Held on the 6TH of April, at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai, the competition pitted the skills and knowledge of 10 champions (dealer representatives) from across the region with the aim to identify the best and most qualified sales champion and ambassador of the INFINITI brand.

With each of the 10 representatives competing hard to win it all, it was a close battle through the day that came down to the wire to decide the winners. First place was awarded to the representative from Al Masaood Automobiles (Abu Dhabi & Al Ain) scoring a total of 96 points out of 111. Second and third place was awarded to representatives from Rasamny Younis Motor Co.(Lebanon)  and Arabian Automobiles (Dubai and Northern Emirates) respectively. 
“It was great to see the various sales ambassadors showcase their skills amongst their peers,” said Juergen Schmitz, Managing Director of INFINITI Middle East.

Awards to the champions were handed over by Juergen Schmitz, Managing Director of INFINITI Middle East, Adib Takieddine, General Manager Sales and Network Development and Berna Acena, Manager - Sales Dealer Network Development, Customer Quality & Training.

“Conceptualised to help train our valued sales force across the region, we believe that the INFINITI Middle East training Academy will play a crucial role in our customers getting the best from INFINITI right from when they set foot into the showroom. It is important for our sales force to be up to speed with all aspects of the INFINITI brand and product as they are our window to our customers,” added Schmitz.

The competition focused on elements that included; product, general automotive information, sales processes and INFINITI technology and technical know-how. The day’s program commenced with a written examination, product walk around presentation, a one minute question and answer session that tested the individual’s ability to explain Infiniti’s range of technologies in detail as well as the a challenge section that tested their understanding of the INFINITI brand.

The last element of the days competition was ‘Face the Trainer’ where each of the nine champions faced off against the head trainer of the I-MEA Training Academy, who posed a set of challenging questions that had to be answered in a set amount of time. Each representative had one ‘lifeline’ where they could consult with their sales manager for one of the answers. This section aimed on building and improving the relationships between the sales consultant and their managers.

Berna Acena, Manager - Sales Dealer Network Development, Customer Quality & Training added; “This is the third successful year of the regional sales skills competition. Our aim is to recognise the best sales consultants in the region and award them for their performance. While there were only three top performers on the day, each of the 10 champions are already successful in their own right, having beaten off intense regional competition to get shortlisted for this final stage.”

INFINITI in the region has been on aggressive drive in the region focusing on enhancing their customer journey at every stage of the ownership experience. The premium brand has recently launched new IREDI centres in Jordan and Lebanon as well as the first IREDI Pre-Owned centre in Dubai. On the product front INFINITI has also introduced the Q60 – the all-new sports coupe.
